He is survived by: his wife Lana Riggs Smithwick; his children, Lora Kristi Smithwick, Aaron Smithwick (Eva) and Joseph Scott Smithwick; his siblings, Audrey Tyson, Hilda Harris and Danny Smithwick (Kathy); his caregiver Shelli Mills; and his family Rummikub.
