He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence W. Jernigan and Mary Belle Jernigan; his wife Sally Jean Jernigan; his sisters, Joanne Harper and Elma Mae Bass; and his nephew Sammy Jernigan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Christy Raynor (Thomas) and Cynthia Bauser (Terry); and his stepchildren, Debbie Johnson, Brenda Bonner, Sheilia Blackman, Sandy McLean (Reggie) and Earl Blackman, Jr. (Amber). He is also survived by four grandchildren and eleven step-grandchildren, two great granchildren and ten great step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dunn Funeral Home of Newton Grove (503 Raleigh St, Newton Grove, NC 28366). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
