It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Earl Gurley (Goldsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on January 2, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Rob, Walt, Wayne, Ken Gurley, Gladys Grimes and Alma Newsome.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Wright (Scott) of Hambleton, WV and Diane Simmons; his granddaughter Jennifer Bush (Mike); his great grandchild Tyler Bush; his siblings, Ralph Gurley of Goldsboro, Ronnie Gurley (Pat) of Pikeville and Lou Sasser of Goldsboro; and his stepchildren, Bonnie Hill and Joe Strickland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
