David James White Obituary

We announce the death of David James White (Goldsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 74. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edmund White and Mary Goeke White; his siblings, Charles Schlather (Carol), Roberta Bulkley (Tex) and Carrol "Butch" White; his cousin David Goeke; and his nephew Brandon Paclik.

He is survived by: his wife Johnnie White; his daughters, Cecile Mahlstadt (Laurence) of Goldsboro, Davina White of Moneta, VA and Rosanna Anderson (Tom) of Dudley; his grandchildren, Ambur Martin (Chris) of Fairbanks, AK, Bruce Mahlstadt (Clair) of Holly Springs, NC, David "DJ" White of Goldsboro and Charles Mahlstadt of Goldsboro; and his nephew Jerry White. He is also survived by two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Seymour Funeral Home (1300 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Final Resting Place Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (164 Longs Plant Farm Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27534).
