It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Leonard Brewington in Goldsboro, North Carolina, born in Dudley, North Carolina, who passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Brewington and Ida Brewington; his siblings, Franklin, Sadie Helen, Hubert, David, Gladrie Mae and Colleen; and his former wife Millie Bibby Brewington.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ava Brewington (Bonnie Colleen) of California, Belinda Brewington of North Carolina and Bridget Brewington of North Carolina; his granddaughter Jazlyn Yvonne-Brewington Wiles (Devon Wiles, Jr.) of Texas; and his great grandchildren, Devon Wiles III and Jaylyn Wiles. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Chapel Viewing Begins. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the J. B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, Inc. (1701 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534).
