He was predeceased by : his father Milford Parks; and his siblings, Mahlon Parks, Dempsy Parks, Jimmy Parks, Eleanor Wilson, Milner Gurley and Debbie Buttrum.

He is survived by : his wife Joyce Carroll Parks; his sons, Ken Parks (Glenda) and Mike Parks (Danette); his grandchildren, Chloe Cooke (Kyle), Bailey Parks, Jacob Wheeler and Adam Wheeler; and his siblings, Jesse Parks, Rebecca King and Esther Yuraitis.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be given in his memory to Hood Swamp Friends Church or to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
