He is survived by: his father Emmitt Lee Sasser; his wife Lois Edgerton Sasser; his children, Allen Sasser, Thesia Sasser Howell (Willie) and Deana Sasser Gardner (John); and his grandchildren, Sarah Howell, Anna Howell, Ashleigh Gardner and Jonathan Gardner.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Seymour Funeral Home (1300 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nahunta Friends Church (2537 NC-581, Pikeville, NC 27863).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Wayne's memory to Nahunta Friends Church.
