It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary L. Cox Jr. (Goldsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on June 9, 2020, at the age of 24, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his grandfather Dr. Alex Cox; and his parents, Gary Cox and Theresa Cox.

Earlier this spring, Gary was recorded on video reading from the book "The Three Bears" as part of a series of online storytime videos that Red Oak firefighters created to entertain local children during the pandemic.
