She was predeceased by: her son-in-law Andrew Thompson; and her parent Helga Hammond. She is survived by: her daughter Karin Thompson; her grandson Oliver Thompson of Goldsboro, NC; her daughter Tanya Quick (Jay Walitalo) of New York, NY; her brother Uli Storz (Janet) of Portola Valley, California; and her niece Mika Clauson.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at the Vacation Bible School at Madison Avenue Baptist Church (300 S Madison Ave, Goldsboro, NC 27530). A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Seymour Funeral Home (1300 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534).
