With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene Brown Johnson (Goldsboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 23, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Frank Brown and Bessie Jobe Brown; her husband James Ray Johnson; her brother Linwood Brown; her daughter Kay Johnson Cherry; and her daughter-in-law Monica Johnson.
She is survived by: her son Perry Johnson (Kim); her grandchildren, Matthew Cherry (Angela), Katie Cherry, Aaron Johnson and Noah Johnson (Keli); her great grandchildren, Tanner Cherry, Dylan Cherry and Riley Johnson; and her sister Mary Boehm (Jim).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Building Fund at Nahunta Friends Church.
