He was predeceased by: his parents, James Glenn Parish, Sr. and Mary Catherine McAlhaney Parish; his son James Glenn Parish III; his sister June Parish Rabon; his daughter-in-law Sharon Parish; and his great grandchild Willa Mae McLamb.
He is survived by: his children, David Wayne Parish (Tammy) of Goldsboro, Daniel Kevin Parish (Lynn) of Wilmington, Linda Ann Howell-Stewart (Richard) of Ashville, Morgan Kelly (James) of Aiken and Christian Dewitt (Kevin) of Charleston; his siblings, Harry Parish (Frida) of Tennessee, Charlie Parish (Cheryl) of Charleston and Annie Thompson of Charleston; and his grandchildren, Evan Howell (Becca), Christopher Howell, Adam Parish (Mary) and Jessica McLamb (Devin). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
