She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Rustin and Helen Mern Rustin; and her sister Barbara Mern Rustin. She is survived by: her sister Belzora Helen Rustin of Goldsboro, NC; her sons, Thomas Henry Perlungher (Sarah) of Goldsboro, NC and Richard Rustin Perlungher (Nicole) of Indian Trail, NC; and her grandchildren, Ellie, Grace and Jonathan.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (200 N James St, Goldsboro, NC 27533).
