He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hare and Rachel Hare; his brothers, Bobby Hare and Edward "Dinky" Hare; and his sister-in-law Joyce Hare.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Kirby-Hare; his sons, Jimmy Hare Jr. (Megan), Tony Hare, Jamie Hare and Don Jenkins Jr. (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Christopher Hare, Lindsay Hare, Chase Hare and Bethany Hare; his great grandchildren, Chandler, Mason, Dakota, Ophelia and Nash; and his nieces, Angie Bragg and Cindy Davenport. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Flowers are welcomed, but the family would ask that donations be made to Free Will Baptist Children's Home of Middlesex.
