It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Linwood Oliver Smith (Goldsboro, North Carolina), born in Wayne County, North Carolina, who passed away on February 3, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Oliver Wendell Smith. He is survived by : his wife Jewel Adams Smith; his sons, Jeremy Adam Smith (Tina Woods Smith) and Brandon Oliver Smith; his grandchildren, Addison Jewel Smith, Holden Oliver Smith and Josie Anne Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Adams Davenport and Jimmy Lewis Adams.

“Jewel and family, I was much surprised to hear about the passing of Lynwood. The short time that I had known Lynwood was enjoyable when we would meet at The Bluffs pool or on the pier and visit as though we had been friends forever. I remember seeing Lynwood for the last time on the pier in the evening where we discussed our love for our families and the pleasure they gave us having them in our presence. Lynwood will be missed by his many friends. You are in my prayers during this stressful time”
