He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Uzzell and Alice Mae Hines Uzzell; and his wife Sabena Ann Hinson Uzzell. He is survived by: his daughters, Catherine Bennett (Keith) of Pikeville and Suzanne Rhodes (Timmy) of Newport; his grandchildren, Ashley Weeks, Stephen Rhodes, Stephanie Myers and Dr. Kateland Bennett; his great grandchildren, Cooper, Warner Weeks, Ivy, Drayton and Weston Myers; and his siblings, Jeanette Hyde (Robert) and David Uzzell (Peggy).
