With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margie Love Strickland (Goldsboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 6, 2026 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Smith and Polk Smith; her siblings, Mark Edward Smith, Charles Smith, Giles Smith, Jo Smith, Eloise Leclair and Dora Mae Langston; her children, Brenda Turnage Herrit, Ray Herrit, Vera Gambella Turnage and Albert Warrick; and her grandchild Jamie Ray Herrit.
She is survived by: her children, James Marion Turnage (Stephanie) of Vincennes, Giles Turnage, Walter Dwight Turnage (Debra), Kathy Warrick, Michael Turnage (Kathy), Margie Twiddy (Niles), Marsha Kornegay (Billy) and Elton Ray Strickland. She is also survived by 18 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren.
