She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Kiser and Merle Pack Kiser; and her husband Tommy Byrd. She is survived by: her children, Dale Allen Smith of Greenville, Tina Everhart (Donald) of Goldsboro and Vonnie Smith of Seymour, Tennessee. She is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
