She was predeceased by: her parents, John Smith Odom and Carrie Ann Worley Odom; her husbands, E. V. Thompson and James Kenneth Bizzell; her siblings, Melvin Odom, Ray Odom and Peggy Radford; and her stepson Ronald Lewis Bizzell.
She is survived by: her siblings, James Odom of Smithfield, Ila Hill of Pikeville, Elizabeth Radford of Goldsboro and Brenda "Sis" Gurley of Smithfield. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
