It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Micah Pate Jr. (Goldsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sisters, Nona Sullivan and Hope Schuch; and his wife Anne. He is survived by: his sons, Micah Pate III (Nanalee B. Pate) and George Timothy Pate (Phyllis W. Pate); his stepchildren, Katherine Kinsey Gourley (John Gourley), John Exum Kinsey, Jr. (Rebecca Kinsey) and Robert Brownrigg Kinsey (Blakely Kinsey); his grandchildren, Jessica H. Pate (Bryant Turffs), Christina B. Pate (Justin C. Baney), Jason M. Pate (Sarah B. Pate), Kathleen Burke (Austin J. Burke), Alexandra M. Andrews and Wesley L. Andrews; and his stepgrandchildren, Georgia G. Hill, John W. Gourley, Jr., John E. Kinsey, III, Johnson B. Kinsey and Julia E. Kinsey. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Seymour Funeral Home (1300 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
