With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Burris (Goldsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on April 20, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Tracy Burris and Phyllis Burris of California; and his sister Mechelle Burris of Hawaii. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Burris of Goldsboro; his son Tracy Burris of Goldsboro; his stepdaughter Jocelyn Outlaw (Carl) of Goldsboro; and his grandchildren, Daniella Baird of Hawaii, Kaylie Burris, Marrisa Burris, Christina Burris of Rosewood, Brandon Jackson of Goldsboro, Steven Jackson, Kevin Jackson and Kristen Jackson of Asheville, NC..

Amid the current restrictions due to the Corona Virus, a ceremony will be scheduled at a later date at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Elroy, N.C. In memory of Mike's diligent service to Military Veterans, in lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to the American Legion Post 11 Goldsboro.
