It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mimble Stanley Osborne (Goldsboro, North Carolina), born in Washington, Virginia, who passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jacob Lawson Stanley and Lilly Rosaetta Denny; her husband Robert Osborne, Sr.; and her siblings, Roy Stanley, Paul Stanley, Tommy Jack Stanley, Coy Stanley, Della Woodard, Ella Nelson and Velma Keith.

She is survived by : her children, Melba Hutchinson (Ed), Robert Osborne, Jr. (Susan) and Sheila Peters (Terrance); and her sisters, Mary Hayes and Jettie Belle Blevans. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mimble.

“Melba, Bobby, Shelia, and extended family, I was so sad to hear of Aunt Mimmie's passing. She forever lives in my heart and mind from all our years spending vacation with all of you, your family visiting us, and at the family reunions. It breaks my heart that I can't be with you. I will instead make a tuna burger, and think of fresh figs off the tree, fresh cantaloupe from the garden and our parades around the circle she paitely put up with. Much love and many prayers are being sent your way.”
