He was predeceased by: his father W. H. Malpass, Sr.; and his siblings, W. H. Malpass, Jr., Karl Malpass, Avon Malpass, Juanita M. Ratcliffe, Catherine M. Pilkington, Gwendolyn M. Laing and Donald Malpass.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy B. Malpass; his daughters, Debi Holloman (Marc) and Beth Oates (Mike); his stepchildren, Donna Banks (Thad) and Ken Perry (Laurie); his grandchildren, Kristin Holloman-Noe (Patrick Noe), Chris Oates (Krissy Henderson) and Kimberly Oates Williams (Matt); and his stepgrandsons, Perry Banks (Rianne) and Tyson Banks (Rebecca). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews he loved.
