She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ellerbe and Virginia Hines Ellerbe; her sons, Thomas Pridgen and William Pridgen; and her siblings, Jimmy Ellerbe, Annie Mae Marbley and Frances Manigault.
She is survived by: her children, John A. "Tony" Pridgen of Goldsboro, Kenneth L. "Kenny" Pridgen of Goldsboro, Deborah E. Pridgen-Pickard of Goldsboro, Olivia A. Pridgen-Ramsey of Goldsboro, Anita M. Burrell of Goldsboro and Karen Colleen Pridgen of LaGrange; her daughter-in-law Darlene Pridgen of Dudley; and her sister Eva Casmir of Goldsboro. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Howell Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel (1500 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
