He is survived by: his wife Diane Whitley Mooring; his sons, Paul Mooring (Lynn Barber) and Steven Wayne Mooring (Melissa Hill Mooring); his grandchildren, Patrick Mooring, William Mooring, Lillie Mooring, Chloe Ann Mooring and Max Mooring; his sister-in-law Ann Mooring; his niece Ava; his daughters, Javita Henderson (Ron) and Shannon Evans (Jay); and his grandchildren, Damian Henderson (Mia), Whitley Nicole Henderson, Darius Henderson, Shiane Evans and Carli-Rae Evans.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Free Chapel (3302 NC-111, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the same location.
