She is survived by: her son William Mark Massengill; her daughter-in-law Leigh Ann Gurley Massengill; and her granddaughters, Brooke Suzanne Barnes (Brad) and Ashleigh Massengill Smith (Jon). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Peggy's memory to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
