He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Benton Barfield; his children, Lisa Ann Barfield Barnes (Jeff) and Dean Autry Barfield; his siblings, Julia Peedin of Goldsboro, Warren "Sam" Barfield (Pat) of Dunn and Timmy Ray Barfield (Carolyn) of Snow Hill; and his grandchildren, Christian Lee Barnes and Nicholas Dean Barnes.
