He is survived by: his wife Emma Benton Owen of Goldsboro; his children, Wayne Owen (Jill), Karen Jernigan (Ted) and Gary Owen (Diane); his grandchildren, Adam Owen, Leah Norris, Kirk Jernigan, Jeffrey Jernigan, Allison Owen and Graham Owen; his great grandchildren, Brody Owen, Lily Owen, Sarah Jernigan, Ethan Jernigan, Sylvia Jernigan, Liam Jernigan and Layla Mae Jernigan; his siblings, Edna Welch, Jack Owen and Johnny Owen; and his friend Lynette Brock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Love Memorial Baptist Church, 192 Woodland Church Rd., Goldsboro, NC or to one's favorite charity.
