He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert (Watson) and Edna Raynor Watson of Goldsboro; his wife Cathy; his sister-in-law Annette Watson; and his brother Jack Watson.
He is survived by: his children, Robbie Watson (Tracy) of Pikeville, Lisa Bell Fountain (Cotton) of Leland, NC and Amber Watson of Pikeville, NC; his brothers, Steve Watson and George "Lil Bit" Watson (Frankye); his grandchildren, Ashley Grantham (Taylor), Matthew Watson (Susan), Brooke Bell (Josh), Josh Fountain (McKenzie), Damian, Evelynn Watson, Tommy Thompson (Megan) and Drake Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Peyton, Nora, Lynley Grantham, Blythe Riggs, Hadley, Jade Graham and Beau Thompson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
