In loving memory of Robert Walter Watson of Goldsboro, North Carolina, who departed this world on July 8, 2025 at the age of 75. Robert leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert (Watson) and Edna Raynor Watson of Goldsboro; his wife Cathy; his sister-in-law Annette Watson; and his brother Jack Watson.
He is survived by: his children, Robbie Watson (Tracy) of Pikeville, Lisa Bell Fountain (Cotton) of Leland, NC and Amber Watson of Pikeville, NC; his brothers, Steve Watson and George "Lil Bit" Watson (Frankye); his grandchildren, Ashley Grantham (Taylor), Matthew Watson (Susan), Brooke Bell (Josh), Josh Fountain (McKenzie), Damian, Evelynn Watson, Tommy Thompson (Megan) and Drake Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Peyton, Nora, Lynley Grantham, Blythe Riggs, Hadley, Jade Graham and Beau Thompson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Howell Funeral Home & Crematory (1500 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
