He is survived by: his wife Kay M. Smith; his son Sam Smith (Ashley); his sisters-in-law, Pat Smith, Ann Smith and Ramona Barbour; his niece LuJene Smith Merritt (Buddy); his nephew Beaux Bass; and his great-nephew Chris Merritt.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the charity of one's choice.
