He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Herman Turnage and Mary Estelle Jones Turnage; his wife Frances "Jean" Harris Turnage; and his siblings, Emma Potter, Millard Turnage, Warren Turnage and Roger Turnage.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Turnage (Darlene) of The Villages, FL and Randy Turnage (Shannon) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Heather Richard (Nick), Holly Holmes (Jason), Mary Turnage, Jesse Turnage, Kayla Holmes (Michael), Thomas Turnage and Trace Turnage; and his great grandchildren, Lilly Holmes, Evan Holmes, Taylor Holmes, Naomi Richard, Liam Richard, Logan Richard, Wyatt Holmes, Tristan Holmes and Ellie Shaw.
