We are sad to announce that on March 3, 2023, at the age of 99, Ruth Godwin Lipcsak Edwards of Goldsboro, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Julian Godwin and Bessie Godwin; her former life partner Col. Mike Lipcsak; her husband Elwood Edwards; her stepson Tim Edwards; and her friend Mac MacLeod.

She is survived by : her children, Jimmy Lipcsak (Becky) of Wendell, Mike Lipcsak (Pam) of Goldsboro and Cathie Wall (Eddie) of Trent Woods; her stepdaughter Anne Squire (Bill) of Wilmington; and her daughter-in-law Peg Edwards. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
