It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Allen Dawson Sr. of Goldsboro, North Carolina, who passed away on August 31, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Sanderson and Peggy Dawson; and his siblings, Deborah Quinn and Jimmy Sanderson. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Dawson; his sons, Cary Smith (Mary-Ann), Travis Smith (Catherine), Allen Jr. (Aimee) and James Dawson (Jessy); his brother Elbert Dawson; his cousin Dannie Lancaster; and his pet Slick. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
