He is survived by: his wife Betty Sasser; his children, Wendy Kelly (Gary) of Goldsboro and Thomas Joseph "TJ" Underwood III (Sarah) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Stormy Hess (Daniel), Tyler Underwood, Sawyer Underwood and Savannah Kelly (Tristan); his great grandchildren, Riley Smith, River Hess and Jordan Hess; his nephews, Brian (Majena) and Eric (Jennifer); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cody, Courtney, Taylor and Walker.
