He is survived by: his sister Hazel Best-Shaw; his stepmother Helen Best; his stepbrother Julian Smith; his nephews, Jason Harris (Latoya) and Barrymore Shaw Jr. (Caitlynn); his great-nieces, Kayla and Addison; his great-nephew Harper; his siblings, Toni Ward-Hamilton (Levi III), Charlenna Bennett-Carter (Ed), Charles Jacobs Jr., Nina Jacobs and Maurice Jacobs (Shonise); and his cousin John Sherman Best.
