We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2025, at the age of 96, Virginia Rouse (Goldsboro, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Braswell and Maybelle Braswell; her husband James Thomas Rouse; her daughter Joyce Renee Rouse; and her siblings, Joseph, Farrior Braswell, Seretha Chestnut and Rosa Robertson.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas of Goldsboro, Donald (Linda) of Dudley, James of Kingsland, GA, Linda Faye of Durham, Maxine of Dudley and Daisy Campbell (Weston) of Glastonbury, CT; her stepson William Davis of Goldsboro; and her sister Mother Mabel Austin of Goldsboro. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren.
