He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward William Harris and Mausilee Bradshaw Harris; his wife Ann Harris; and his granddaughter Faith Harris. He is survived by: his sister Sue Nicklaus (Jennifer Snow); his sons, Davis Harris (Kathy), Barnes Harris (Elizabeth) and Brad Harris (Allison); and his grandchildren, Kate, Barnes, Jackson, Anna, Henry, William, Caroline and Sarah Beth.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (200 N James St, Goldsboro, NC 27533). A reception will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Parrish Hall.
