He is survived by: his wife Annie L. Hendrix; his children, Melinda Johnson, Joshua Minor, Anthony Hendrix, Revonne Minor, Darlene Batts (Dennis Batts) and Wanda Hendrix; his grandchildren, Keli Johnson, Janis Batts, Antonia Hendrix and Elijah Ward; and his great grandchildren, Jasmiyne Murray and JJ Murray.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the J. B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel (1701 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A burial was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (164 Longs Plant Farm Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27534).
