He is survived by: his daughters, Odettia Newsome-Phillips (Demetrick) and Ah'Mir McCormick of Goldsboro; and his siblings, Curtis Newsome of Pikeville, Staris Morgan, Marsha Newsome, Angela Newsome of Goldsboro, Sharon Gaskins, LaVon Newsome of Durham and Kay Cox of Pikeville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear friends.
