He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Cody and Ella Mae Cody; and his former wife Sandra Starnes Cody. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey David Cody (Kay Mobley-Cody) and Scott Edward Cody (Laurel Mise); his granddaughter Brooke A. Cody; his sisters, Linda Wells (Cyrus Wells) and Gloria Martin (late Dennis Martin); and his fiancée Ida Montgomery.
