With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hilda Laughlin (Graham, North Carolina), born in Alamance, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2025 at the age of 94. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Hilda had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Hilda may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Mooneyham and Carrie Vincent Mooneyham; her husband Arthur "Jack" Laughlin; her son Phil Laughlin; and her brother Bob Mooneyham.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Shatterly and Lisa L. Crofoot; and her son-in-law George W. Crofoot.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McClure Funeral Service - Graham (1030 S Main St, Graham, NC 27253). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Haw River at 508 E Main St, Haw River, NC 27258.
