He is survived by: his daughters, Roxanne McGhee of Burlington and Candace Parker of Greenville, NC; his stepchildren, Michele Terrell (Robbie) of Irmo, SC and Jason Riggs (Janet) of Waxhaw, NC; his grandchildren, Joey Cobb (Sara), Blake Cobb of Burlington, Kendis Slaughter (Travis) of Graham, Kayla Vincent (Jay), Jaylen Parker of Greenville, NC, Meredith, Savannah Terrell of Columbia, SC and Shannon Riggs of Waxhaw, NC; his great grandchildren, Joey Cobb, Jr. (JC), S. Navy, Mason, Kinley Cobb of Burlington, Bentley Cobb of Burlington, Axel, Gunner Slaughter of Graham, Levi Newberry of Elon and Gavin Smith of Burlington; his siblings, Betty Rose May (Otha) of Franklinton, NC, Dorothy Burger (Danny) of Wake Forest, NC and George McGhee (Mary Pat) of Franklinton, NC; and his siblings' children, Marvin McGhee (Jennifer) of Columbia, SC, Hunter McGhee (Stacey) of Atlanta, GA, Kyle Burger (Kelly) of Newport, NC, Lisa Griffin (Chuck) of Castalia, NC, Jennifer Moore (Dave) of Franklinton, NC and Mary Roberson of Youngsville, NC.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home (207 E Elm St, Graham, NC 27253). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery E Green.
