We are sad to announce that on February 24, 2026, at the age of 89, Jo Ann Ward of Graham, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Richard Ward; her parents, John William Lashley and Argie Zachary Lashley; her granddaughter Bethany Hope Gooch; and her siblings, Lucille Pruitt, Juanita Brantley, Erma Zeller, Betty Lashley McAdams and Don Lashley.
She is survived by: her children, Jodie Ward Gooch (Mike) of Tomball, TX and Steven Fletcher Ward of Burlington; her grandchildren, Joy Hamilton (Ben), Andrew Gooch (Allison), Lydia Hotaling and Abbie Hotaling; and her great grandchildren, Elijah Hamilton, Likitha Hamilton Emerson Gooch, Oakley Gooch and Hudson Gooch.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to "Bethany Hope Ministries", a nonprofit started to honor the life of Jo Ann's granddaughter Bethany.
