He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Ritchie Black and Thames Apple Black; his siblings, William David Black, Doris Black McClendon, Betty Black Moorefield and Ronnie Ewart Black (Carole); and his son William Paul "Bo" Black.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Semiklose Black; his daughter Casey Black Wall (Bryan); his granddaughter Jordan Black Pead (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Madelyn and Hadley Pead; his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Semiklose Sullivan and Billie Semiklose Gann; and his brother Michael Joseph (Mickey). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
