John Wesley Trammell Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Wesley Trammell of Graham, North Carolina, who passed away on July 22, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Murray Trammell and Ruth Stroupe Trammell Orr; his siblings, Wanda Sue Trammell Hill (Jack Hill), Billy Trammell and Benita Conway; his siblings' children, Rhonda Hill, Tonia Curtis and James Wesley Orr; and his great-nephews, Loudon Orr and Kyle Garver.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Orr Trammell of Robbinsville; his son Ritchie Trammell (Sarah) of Concord, NC; his grandchildren, Slade Trammell of Knoxville, TN, Faith Trammell (Dylan Johnson) of Harrisburg, NC, Tacey Trammell (Joe Tietjen), Destanee Trammell (Cooper Hyatt) of Charlotte, NC, Tylen Trammell of Concord, NC and Sophie Wang of Starkville, MS; his stepgranddaughters, Emma Gaines of Villa Rica, GA and Olivia Gaines of Concord, NC.; his siblings, Sandra Myers (Everett) and Benny Orr (Gaye) of Robbinsville; and his siblings' children, Keith Hill (Karen), Jerry Hill (Monica), Pam Patterson (Robert), Angela Yeager (Billy), James Murray Trammell (Bonnie), Shane Hill (Susan), Tabatha Lloyd, Todd Lewis (Kendra) and Kyle Orr. He is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews, and several great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lone Oak Baptist Church (3699 Tapoco Rd, Robbinsville, NC 28771). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery (3699 Tapoco Rd, Robbinsville, NC 28771).
