She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Lawter and Nora Belle Rice Lawter; her husband Clyde Eugene Whetzel; and her brothers, Raymond, Robert and John Lawter.

She is survived by: her children, Jon Whetzel (Jan) and Melissa Sue Whetzel; her grandchildren, Lillian Jones (Davis), Isabelle Whetzel (Bailey), Colton Whetzel, Kaitlin Jarvis (Brent), Bethany Coleman (Austin) and Jessica Jarvis; her great grandchildren, Anni, Marlow, Natalie, Logan, Bentlee, Zayleigh, Jack and Joe; and her brother David Lawter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
