He was predeceased by: his wife Georgia Richwalder Whittemore; his parents, Isham B. Whittemore and Lottie Ray Whittemore; and his siblings, Richard Gordon Whittemore, Gene D. Whittemore, Carolyn W. Riddie, Audrey W. Myers and Barbara W. Monteith.
He is survived by: his children, Marc Whittemore (Kristin), Michael Stone Whittemore, Charles Michael McCaffrey, Laura Wells (Forrest) and Catherine Gayle Larson; his grandchildren, Kyleigh Whittemore, Camden Whittemore, Christian Wells and Jennifer Todd; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth Todd, Jonathan Todd and Abigail Todd; and his sister Sandra W. Arnette.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Service & Crematory (207 E Elm St, Graham, NC 27253). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
