She was predeceased by : her husband Darrell Clinton Barrett, Sr.; her parents, Ross Layton and Jennette Huckaby Layton; and her grandson Jeremy Rogers. She is survived by : her children, Laurie Frazier (Greg) of Graham, Lisa Rogers (Jimmy) of Graham and Darrell C. Barrett, Jr. (Cindy) of Burlington; her sisters, JoAnn Skinner (Gerald) of Jacksonville, NC and Joyce Graham (Jimmy) of Rockingham, NC; her grandchildren, Olivia Rogers, Josh Rogers (Jennifer), Tiffany Dunn, Jordan Norris (Kyle), Amanda Barrett, Darrell Clinton Barrett, III, Kristy and Christina Grinnan (Josh); and her great grandchildren, Rhett, Waylon, Shane, Quinn, Reese, Isaac, Eli, Barrett, Bailey, Derek, Mackenzie, Greysun, Andrew and Lauren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Salem Community Church (4924 Salem Church Rd, Haw River, NC 27258). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
