Marion Pentecost Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Pentecost of Graham, North Carolina, born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Marion leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph T. Smith and Christine Talbert Smith; and her husband Roger Pentecost. She is survived by: her sons, Christopher Dale Ray and David Shane Ray; and her siblings, Amy Smith Anderson, Michael Chadwick Smith and David Lee Smith. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel (1030 S Main St, Graham, NC 27253).
