It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Alice Sumner Cook of Graham, North Carolina, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas Franklin Cook; her parents, Herbert Sumner and Elizabeth Taylor Sumner; and her siblings, Grant Sumner, Gerald Sumner, Grady Sumner, Conrad Sumner, Jeffrey Sumner, Gordon Sumner, Beverly Brown, Sally Ford and Diana Kay Laughlin.
She is survived by: her son Winford Brown (Shelia) of Snow Camp; her sister Brenda Allred of Haw River; her grandchildren, Carmen Hinton (Brian) of Burlington, Stephanie Casey of Graham, Carla Sibrian (Jonathan) of Graham and Whitney Brown of Elon; and her great grandchildren, Evan and Eric of Graham.
