He is survived by: his wife Mildred Koonce (Mickey) of Mebane, NC; his children, April Dembinski (Michael) and Randall Koonce (Amanda Koonce); his grandchildren, Kathryn Dembinski, Terry Koenig Jr., Michael A Dembinski, Jemma Koonce and Kinsley Koonce; his great grandchildren, Kaleb Dembinski, Penelope Dembinski and Juliette Dembinski; and his brothers, Carson Koonce (Pauline) of Cove City, NC and Gerald Koonce of Norfolk, VA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
